Good to see you write again, and nice layout too :)

I am brought up in a Catholic family. However, for watever reason, I decided to go out and found out the truth myself when I was around 13 or so. Needless to say, my dad thought I went crazy. There were lots of yelling, arguments, and then we stopped talking for a long time. The next thing I know, I ended up in the state when I was 16. Of course, there were lots of going on in between, but to keep the long story short. What I make out for myself is that I might not believe in God, in a biblical sense, but I do believe there's some higher power than us human out there, whether that's to be God, Buddha, Mother Nature, Sun, Prophecy, etc. It helps keep me sane sometimes, although I'm pretty much crazy most of the time lol

I dont think any religion is bad and wants to teach people bad things. It's the people who interpret and carry it out make it look bad.

I remember reading this somewhere. The scientist says how can you still believe after all these evident and observations. The priest replies, after looking through the telescope and seeing all the stars, the galaxy, and the wonders of life, how can you not believe.

Maudie Mae
By Meredith Lauren Thomas.

A charming and sprightly fawn,
Miss Rosenbaum,
could’ve been a proper prancer rather than

a mistress of livestock and soil.
Mrs. Edwards never ceased to toil
even after he and the remains of his bottle were gone and it was

so long and tranquil in ebony country nights.
Sometimes a midwife dwelling over long ago buried smokers of peace pipes.
The raw earth she’d farm to gold and she’d know

that a blast to a porch dwelling serpent would do a lot of good.
When not busy snapping the tops off feathered creatures that squawked,
and frying them that same evening for food,

a gracious hostess to my mother.
Aid and comfort like no other to one offspring
whose sanity was stricken by disease.

Immaculate bun and clothing clean.
Enjoyed her snuff when duty free.
Just five feet tall but a pillar

for all of those who knew Great Grandma.
Bun came down with strands to nearly touch the ground,
but only before sleeping without regrets or weeping

Rodney Gleghorn, you don't know who I am. I am your second cousin. Your mother has a niece, Carolyn. Heck, YOU probaly already knew that! Well, sir, I am Carolyn's youngest daughter, aged twenty-two. I guess I am what you call an aspiring writer, for I've never been published except with no compensation save the honor of a poem in my college journal. Tried at 17 and was told to hone my skills. Have been doing just that... ANYWAY, not too long ago I wrote a short poem about Maudie Mae. My mother has always thought the world of her and in a strange way, so do I. Wish I could have met the dear woman. I enjoyed reading what you had to say about her. If you ever want to amuse yourself with my poem, you know how to reach me via e-mail. Maudie Mae was quite a woman. Thanks for "The Last Farmer". :-)

Anas don't emit a hell of a lot of lifeforce though. Weak hearts and scrawny bods, ya know?
